Technical Requirements For Steel Cage Welding Workstation

In the field of construction engineering, steel cage welding workstation plays a vital role, and its technical requirements are related to the safety and quality of the project.

First of all, in terms of steel cage production, there are strict requirements for steel bar operators. Both steel bar welders and steel bar workers must be certified to work, and if the welder changes the type, diameter or type of work of the steel bar, the welding parameters must be rechecked, and two sets of test pieces must be pre-welded for cold bending tests before they can be put into mass production. Steel bar workers must also undergo strict assessment before they can work. When cutting materials, overall arrangements should be made to reduce losses, long materials should be cut first and short materials should be cut later, and the defective parts of the appearance should be removed, and the length error should be controlled within ±5mm. When straightening steel bars, the straightening elongation of grade I steel bars shall not be greater than 2%, and that of grades II and III shall not be greater than 1%. If there is a crack during cutting, stop immediately and report to the supervisor.

During the welding process, the process standards must be strictly followed. The main reinforcement connection adopts single-sided lap welding or double-sided lap welding. The length of the single-sided lap welding joint shall not be less than 10 times the diameter of the steel bar, and the double-sided welding shall not be less than 5 times. The weld should be full, smooth and free of welding slag. The stiffener and main reinforcement should be spot welded firmly after the verticality is corrected. The remaining main reinforcements should be welded one by one as required. The skeleton should be rotated at both ends of the skeleton, and the stirrups should be spot welded firmly after they are arranged. The steel cage adopts double-sided lap welding in the processing yard. The welding slag should be knocked off after welding, and there should be no cracks in the joint area. The lap length of stirrup welding should be carried out according to the design requirements of the drawings. At the same time, the welding process should comply with the established sequence, current and voltage and other welding processes.

Before installing the steel cage, a strict quality inspection should be carried out to ensure that it meets the design specifications and strength requirements. The measurement and positioning should be accurate, and the installation position should be marked to make it consistent with the design drawings. Select the appropriate lifting machinery according to the size and weight and debug it to ensure safe use.
